Pakistan joins global warmongers, furthering genocidal Sri Lanka militarisation

Pakistan’s entry into genocidal Sri Lanka through the supply of ‘fighter jets’, frequent port calls, participation and training of military personnel and combating ‘terror financing’ raises serious questions that against whom and at whose behest Islamabad and Colombo embark on the military programme; for what world war the preparations are being made and who are the ultimate facilitators of the paradigm of bartering genocide and geopolitics, commented Tamil activists for alternative politics in the island. So far, only Washington, New Delhi and Beijing were the ones that were openly and significantly involved in the genocidal military paradigm in the island. Pakistan’s entry and Colombo’s reception are not without the blessing of some, the activists further said.

Islamabad establishment’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif visiting Colombo and genocidal Sri Lanka’s Prime Minister Ranil Wikremesinghe have signed eight agreements on Tuesday, ranging from education to the usual blah blah of ‘people-to-people contact’.

But the real highlight was Pakistan selling eight JF-17 Thunder Fighter jets to Colombo.

This type of fighter jets, part of Pakistan’s Air Force and manufactured locally, was initially produced with Chinese technical assistance, Indian media reports said.

The current regime in Colombo was keen in buying advanced fighter jets for its Air Force. New Delhi, which has ‘military to military’ alliance with the genocidal State was trying to sell its own fighter jets that were not of expected quality, earlier reports said.

Both Nawaz Sharif and Wikremesinghe are seen as playing for the US agenda in the region, but they have strategic understanding with China as well, political observers said. The wars of today are waged against peoples by establishments in strategic partnership, the observers added.

In Colombo, Nawaz Sharif conveyed his desire for more frequent port calls, participation in military exercises and defence seminars and training of military personnel, PTI reported, citing Sharif saying that both sides had expressed their satisfaction at the existing bilateral cooperation in the field of defence.
